Ceretto's Barolo is a soft, harmonious and velvety wine, with a moderate tannic content and is well balanced in its alcoholic and acidic functions. It has extraordinary drinkability just a few months after its bottling. Barolo di Ceretto is an intense ruby red color, with orange reflections. The scent on the nose is delicate with hints of rose and violet.
The “Nipozzano” Reserve is a Chianti Rufina that comes from a skilful blend assembled by the Frescobaldi winery team, where, alongside 90% Sangiovese, we also find small percentages of Malvasia Nera, Colorino, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes of these varieties are grown within the Chianti Rufina area, in vineyards located at a height above sea level between 250 and 500 metres, facing south-east; the terroir has an arid skeleton, composed of stones, limestone and clay. Once the grapes arrive in the cellar rooms used for winemaking, they macerate for 25 days with frequent batonnage, carrying out both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. Finally, the production process concludes with refinement, in which the wine rests for 24 months in barrique and then, after bottling, for another 3 months directly in glass.
